Thomas the train came rolling through town this past weekend so we took the boys for a train ride and enjoyed a few other activities while we were there. It was Keller's first train ride so he was a little unsure at first.
Once we boarded and he heard Thomas's whistle, he was ready for departure. Kase rode the train at the zoo when he was about 2 and screamed the entire time. Thank goodness this time was a little more peaceful for all of us. Well, maybe not daddy b/c he was on lap duty most of the trip!
Based on Kase's "what I did this week-end story", I have a feeling this was his one and only trip to see Thomas. Each Monday they have to write about their weekend and he said he went to the circus {nasty, filthy, dirty} and the fair. The circus part was accurate {unfortunately} but the fair....that's questionable. I asked why he wrote that and he said, "the Thomas thing was kinda like the real fair b/c they had corny dogs and funnel cakes." True, but I knew that wasn't the "real" reason behind his story. He must've known I was still puzzled b/c a few minutes later, he told me that "Thomas is really for babies". Now the truth comes out; he didn't want to tell the class b/c 6 year olds are way too cool for Thomas...so they think!

Guess eating a good ol' Fletchers corny dog is "cool" b/c look at that smile now!

Spending the day w/my family always makes me smile; this just made that smile {waistline} a little bit bigger!
