Party like a rockstar!!

Let me just start by saying that there will be no more birthday parties at the Lindeman house {yea right, I said that last year}...unless the boys are content w/only inviting 3 friends each. I just can't hang w/the young crowd anymore and it was obvious Saturday morning when I laid down on the couch and fell asleep 30 minutes after I woke up. Those of you that know me know I don't do naps...EVER! You also know I don't skip an opportunity to go shopping, especially when it involves getting a new coffee table. Tony's mom spent the night on Friday and offered to watch the boys so we could go shopping. Can you believe I turned it down? I'm still in a little bit of a shock myself but this girl was wiped out. Not so much from the party but just from a busy week at work on top of the hustle and bustle of planning, preparing and then hosting the party! I must say the preparing was made a lot easier b/c my sweet husband gave in and allowed me to hire a lady to come clean our house. She did such an amazing job that he said we need to have her come back again...thank you honey, you have no idea how much nicer I'll be now that I don't have to clean up after 3 messy boys! They really aren't messy; it's just my OCD that causes me to think they are. I'm seriously thinking I need to go get on some medicine for that b/c it's out of control these days. By the way, thanks dad for passing that little trait on to me!

Now that I've rambled on about everything but the party, let me back up and start over! Kase decided that for his 6th birthday {still can't believe my baby is 6}, he wanted to have a "rockstar" party. Great idea Kase but where will we have it and what will we do? I suggested an indoor bounce house, Shenaniganz, Laser Tag, and a few other cool places but my little thinker already had it all planned out. He wanted to sing karaoke, eat pizza and have it at...you guessed it, our house. Oh my goodness, are you serious Kase? Yes he was, yes we gave in and yes, we loved every minute of it.

It was crowded, chaotic, rambunctious and very loud but more importantly, the kids had a blast and so did we. Tony and I enjoyed watching Kase interact w/his classmates b/c that's a side of him we don't get to see everyday. Their class theme this year is "Kindergarten rocks" and now I know why. They {including Keller} sang and danced until their hair was wet and sweat was running down their necks. I had to practically beg them to stop so we could have cake and sing happy birthday.

We're missing a few {too busy jumping on the trampoline} but can you believe they're all looking in the same direction? I was impressed! Not only are they good at following directions, they truly are a fun group of kids and we are so thankful that Kase gets to spend his days w/them. Their wonderful parents are an added bonus and we had a great time getting to know each of them. In fact, one of the moms and I went to high school together and now our kids are growing up together. How neat is that?

Well, Tony is calling for me to come watch DWTS so I better say goodbye for now. We have an exciting and very busy week ahead so I'm sure I'll be back soon w/some new posts. Kase is gearing up for his 2nd season of t-ball. It actually started last week but we had to miss practice b/c he was a little under the weather. His Drama Kids class is busy rehearsing for their play and Keller is set to start Lil Sluggers. Lord, please help us all. The wild man is going to be swinging a bat around other little kids. Talk about frightening! I've already started praying....
