"Tacky People" Family fun night

Keller's expression pretty much sums up how I felt after seeing some pictures from our recent family fun night. However, I know I'll look back and wonder what really happened so I better add words while it's fresh on my mind. You know I am getting old so my memory is gradually slipping. Julie and Wendy came across these cups at Canton and thought they'd be great for our April family fun night. Mistake # 1 for me!

I guess I thought we had to play the part b/c my choice of top for the night was very fitting for the party....tacky! It was a simple brown sweater but it was see through and no one bothered to tell me. My own husband {who "swears" he didn't notice} let me walk out of the house wearing a "tacky" shirt and my friends even took pictures of me wearing a "tacky" shirt. Let me clarify; it really isn't a "tacky" shirt but when your nude bra isn't so "nude", then it becomes tacky! I'm sorry you won't get to see the picture on my blog nor will I tell you where you can go to see it but I'm sure you'll eventually find it somewhere so enjoy the laugh at my expense. Don't feel bad, I laughed too so you'll be laughing w/me, not at me. Enough about the sweater, moving on now to the not so tacky things like...

shooting hoops w/daddy

laughing w/your friends

playing hut-hut w/the "big kids"

being a superhero

and spending time w/your buddies!

Despite the "tacky" sweater, we had a GREAT time and can't wait until next months. What a blessing it is to have such special friends; even if they do let me walk around w/a nude bra glowing underneath my top! Life could be a lot worse than that so I'll take my "tacky" sweater and thank God that's the worst thing that happened to me that day. As for the sweater, it's going to find a nice and cozy spot in the closet until I find a complimenting brown cami!
