One marathon blog coming right up...

Whew...now that's what you call a busy week. Are you sure it's only Friday? Since the weekend and next week are going to be just as busy as the past week, I decided I better get caught up before I fall waaaayyyy behind. I have a lot to catch up on so if you're not in it for the long haul, you better turn back now b/c this is going to be a marathon blog post. We spent a large part of our week hanging out w/our family in town from Iowa. My Uncle Rodney, Aunt Holly and cousin Josh drove in on Monday so we've been pretty busy showing them around town. They actually arrived in Texas last Thursday but spent the weekend in Mt. Pleasant {at my other Aunt's house}. We couldn't wait to see them so we took a little day trip last Saturday.

As always, we had a great time visiting w/family, shooting hoops w/our cousin,

playing a game of soccer in the backyard,

and watering Aunt Phyllis's yard.

Morgan and I even found a fun place to go shopping. Actually, we found several fun places to shop but that's not too hard when we get together. Give us an hour and the two of us can find anything, even in a town that neither of us know anything about.

From the outside, this particular place looked a little questionable but oh my goodness, they had some great stuff. Of course, neither of us walked out empty-handed.

The rain dampened our plans on Monday so we decided to try out our bowling skills at Shenaniganz instead.

We've never been but the boys had such a great time that I'm sure it will now become a regularly requested place to go. Keller loved the roller coaster ride and the go-karts.

Kase wasn't up for a go-kart ride; nor did he care for the roller coaster ride,

but he sure enjoyed the race car game and playing air hockey.

Tuesday was a flex work day for me and usually I opt out of those but this time I decided I would go. I needed a little break and it was so good to see everyone and really got me excited about the upcoming school year. In case I've never mentioned it, which I'm sure is not the case, I have the best job in the world!

I had to take Keller to see his pediatrician on Wednesday so he could sign a wellness medical form for his new pre-school. Yes, you heard me right. Keller is going to a new school. I can't talk about it right now b/c I'll spend the rest of the day crying. What I will tell you is that it was probably the hardest decision we've ever had to make as parents. Mrs. Terrie has been the boys babysitter for the past 6 years and we love her like she's family. She is family and now I'm crying so that's enough about that. After our short doctor visit, we headed to the Lego store at Northpark.

I think the boys were a little overwhelmed b/c they kept going from one side of the store to the other. Kase would see something and call for Keller to come look at it and then Keller would run to the other side of the store and yell for Kase to come "wook". Kase got a catalog several weeks ago so he knew exactly what he wanted; a Sponge Bob Krusty Krab Adventures.

Not sure why he chose that one b/c he's never seen an episode of that nor do we own anything related to it but it was his choice so I just swiped my debit card. After looking at every box in the store, Keller finally decided on a tractor set.

Daddy met us for lunch and then took the boys home so I was able to do some shopping on my own. Unfortunately, I still ended up w/more for the kids than I did myself. Why does it always work out that way?

We went to the circus last night and it really needs no explanation...other than me telling you the boys loved it and sat like this the majority of the time.

It is a huge money pit and I dropped my camera half-way through...right after this picture to be exact.

I might also add that I won't be taking anymore pictures until it's fixed. Yep, you heard me right....my new camera that replaced my old broken camera is now broke, B-R-O-K-E, broke! I can handle something breaking but not when it's the only one I have. I'm sick to my stomach, however, I know it could always be worse and just might be after I hear back from the warranty company. As for now, I think I better call Morgan and beg to borrow hers. With an out of town wedding on Saturday and a mini beach trip next week, I can't imagine my life w/out one. It just wouldn't be right for me to not capture faces as cute as these two!

If I haven't put you to sleep yet and you're still reading, we hope you have a happy, fun, safe and spectacular weekend. See you when we get back from the sandy shores!
