{An old post that never got published...probably a user error but I'm blaming the computer for this one. Enjoy a better late than never post.}
The holiday season always leaves me feeling a bit overwhelmed so I decided it was time to slow down and change pace for a weekend. I purchased Holiday in the Park tickets several weeks ago from a friend at work so we decided to load up the boys and take them on a little adventure. The weather was forecasted to be in the 60s so I knew we better take advantage of the beautiful weather b/c it might be in the teens the next day....and sure enough it was. The boys had no idea where we were going so you can imagine the excitement when we pulled up and Kase read the sign to all of us. "Six Flags Over Texas. Keller, this is Six Flags and it is going to be so much fun." Keller, although he had no idea what Six Flags was, started squealing w/excitement. It was followed by, "I'm four now so I can ride the big roller coaster." Our first stop just so happened to be the Mini-Mine Train and I think he wanted to retract that statement the minute we got in line to ride it. He looked a little uneasy when we sat down
but I turned around mid-way through the ride and this is what I saw.
Thank goodness I had a minute to pull out my camera before the next drop into the dark tunnel b/c I know his hands were down after that. I think it caught us all by surprise. We stopped to see a few very important characters along the way...
rode some more rides...
and then just took in the sights and sounds of the Christmas season. It was such a fun day and just what I needed to slow myself down. Little did I know it could happen at a place like Six Flags but I'm finding out quality time w/the boys always does the trick...no matter where it is. That's all folks....
