Just wanted to share a few of the little things that brought a smile to my face this past week...
One afternoon as Kase and I were leaving to go get the rest of his school supplies, Keller walked over, gave him the biggest hug and kiss and said, "I love you Kase". No initiating on my part, he did it all by himself...out of nowhere.
Thank goodness my camera was in arms reach b/c it was a moment I didn't want to miss. I did ask for a repeat just so I could experience the sweetness again. Awww, brotherly love~such a special bond!
The next few pictures made me giggle inside b/c it is so symbolic of living w/boys. Grammar bought Kase a boys only diary and apparently, he and Keller found a few stickers to put on their doors. I'm not a fan of the word "hate" but it truly does describe Keller. He's 110% all boy and thinks anything and everything pink is for "girls". Having anything pink would definitely cramp his style whereas Kase tends to agree w/the saying, "real men wear pink".

The picture below is Kase's door.
Although it says "no girls allowed", he did agree to let me come in his room. Such a momma's boy!
As you all know and in case some of you didn't know, Keller is a carbon copy of his daddy and wants to do everything just like daddy does, which is why seeing this brought a huge smile to my face Sunday morning. After coming home from the gym, I turned into the driveway and saw this sticking up out of the side of Tony's truck.
I walked inside and Keller came running over full of excitement to let me know they were going to mow Maw-maws yard. Tony said the minute he hung up w/his mom, Keller was gathering up all of his equipment and had it loaded before Tony could even get his shoes on. He was ready to help his daddy mow and judging from the picture, I guess he thought they might play a little t-ball when they were done.
Such a simple reminder of their precious father-son relationship!
Yesterday, I captured a little piece of that relationship as they mowed the backyard together.
Keller followed right behind Tony the entire time....weedeating, mowing and blowing off the grass. He even offered to help Tony saw off some limbs. Fortunately, Tony was able to convince him that was a job for big people.
Maybe one day little guy, but for now, please stick w/your kid friendly lawn equipment! You know the kind that won't cut your fingers off.
While Keller was out mowing w/Tony, I took this handsome little guy to get a haircut.
He doesn't have to do anything to make me smile, it just comes naturally.
Little things, big smiles, abundantly blessed!
