mommy's turn

My friend Haley, who is also known on my blog as Noah, Liam & Cullen's mommy, celebrated her birthday this past weekend.

I've known Haley since elementary school as she and my sister were and still our bff's. Lucky for me, most of Morgan's friends have become very good friends of mine over the years. The same thing has happened w/my friends who are now some of Morgan's special friends. Now that we're older we consider it a blessing; but when we were younger, my friends were my friends and hers were hers...and we let each other know about it in not so kind ways. Here we are now, best friends for life!

As my own two boys get older, I'm sure I'll start seeing the same thing happen w/them. But for now, friends is one of the few things they don't mind sharing.

Haley is now the crazy proud mother of 3 under the age of three so Kase and Keller get to do a lot of partying with the Nelson brothers. But this weekend, it was the mommy's turn to party. This girl deserves more than a celebration. 3 under 3...I can barely keep up w/my 2 under 7!

Our evening started off w/a yummy dinner at Mi Cocina

and then it was off to Sambuca for a little bit of cake and a whole lotta dancing.

I'm gonna be real honest and say, it's been a long time since these legs have done any dancing so I felt a little stiffness Sunday morning...along w/exhaustion from staying out way past my bedtime. My body definitely let me know I wasn't 23 anymore but they say, it never hurts to pretend so that's exactly what we did Saturday night...

and it sure was a lot of fun!
