The last star was placed on the Advent Calendar and two happy little boys knew exactly what that meant. It was Christmas Eve-time to open the presents they've been eyeing under the tree for weeks. As excited as they were about opening their own, they were just as excited about watching others open the gifts they picked out. Our first stop was at Maw-maws house for the Lindeman side of the family Christmas and then the evening was spent at Papa and Grammar's house.

I say it every year but it means so much to me that we still have Christmas in the same home I grew up in and with many of the same traditions we started as a family many, many years. Did I just admit I was old? I have so many precious memories as a child and now with my own children that will last forever.

However, with that said, Mom and Dad made it a point to let Morg and I know that they want us to start our own traditions so next year it will change to one of our houses and we will be responsible for all of it, including the cooking. Yikes, guess I better get out my Betty Crocker cookbook and start practicing. Although, we will miss doing it at their house, we know it is time for us to take over, let them be our guests and start creating traditions in our own homes.

we opened our gifts and took in the magic and wonder on the kids faces as they opened their presents. As a parent, that's the part I love and look forward to each year.
Keller was excited about his Texas Ranger alarm clock, a sports hooded towel and his swing away...anything baseball and he was happy!
Kase was excited about the robotiks kit and extremely surprised when he opened his Kindle Fire. That special gift even earned Papa and Grammar an extra hug and a great big thank you.
Once again, we were spoiled and ended up with way more than we deserved.
Thank you Mom and Dad for making it another magical Christmas for all of us. We are so blessed to have you as parents and grandparents to our children. I hope you know just how loved you really are!
