is to blame for the lack of updates on the blog. Free and relaxing weekends are a thing of the past but we are having so much fun that we haven't even missed them. Two weekends ago, we traveled out to McKinney and cheered on our boys in their first ever coach pitch tournament.
It was a tad bit muddy but there was plenty of sunshine by gametime.
The boys played four great games against some really good teams but came up a little short, finishing 3rd out of 9 teams. Not too bad for their first time playing with the bigger boys! It was a great learning experience, the boys enjoyed watching the older kids play in between their games and we even had time for a fun lunch at Fuddruckers. Such great kids!
This past weekend, the boys played in a tee-ball tournament and came away with the 2nd place trophy.
They played two games Saturday and 4 games Sunday...and just flat ran out of gas during the championship game. I don't think I've ever seen my child so tired but bless his heart, he was determined not to quit. Every single one of our boys fought hard and gave it all they had right up until the very last out. They are such troopers! Keller ended the weekend with 4 homeruns and made several great plays at 3rd, including an awesome double play. He caught a line drive in the air and then tagged his bag before the runner made it back to tag up. Talk about a proud momma...I'm pretty sure you could hear me screaming in the parking lot. It was precious...he was so proud of himself and you could see it all over his face...melted my heart.
It was such a fun weekend but we were all pooped and in bed by 8:00 Sunday night. We have one game this week and then we're off to Oklahoma City for the SWAG classic. It's our first out of town tournament so the boys are looking forward to staying in a hotel and spending the weekend with their buddies. I have to admit...I'm pretty excited too!
Thanking God for our many blessings...sweet friendships, great coaches, wonderful parents and a lot of special memories!
