Little staycation

My last post was about Grammar treating us to a fun vacation and guess what...here's another post courtesy of Grammar because she's just AWESOME like that!

Right before we all headed back to work/school (yes, 3 months ago), she treated us to a little staycation in Grapevine.  We started off the day at Legoland, and Sea Life Aquarium and spent the rest of the afternoon shopping at Grapevine Mills.

It was our first time to do Legoland and the kids had a blast riding the rides,

building their race cars, watching the 3D movie,

and picking out their new Lego sets.

Sea Life was a little bit of a disappointment but the kids still had fun.  Sure it comes as no surprise that Morg and I enjoyed the shopping part a little more?  Thank you mom for "spoiling us" making sure we started the school year in style!  By 4:00, the kids were shopped out and getting a little antsy so we headed to our next stop, the Gaylord.  We got checked in, the kids let us sit down for about 3 minutes and then they were ready to hit the pool.

We swam, slid and floated the lazy river a million times, grabbed dinner, some yummy dessert and then called it a night.  The kids woke up ready to swim so back down to the pool we went.  By noon, we were all worn out so we packed up and headed home.  It was a quick little trip but exactly what we needed to get us ready for the start of a new school year!

Thank you Mom/Grammar for taking time out of your busy schedule at work to spend it with us.  We treasure these times together and look forward to many, many more fun trips with you!  What a blessing you are to all of us and we love you more than you'll ever know.
