Is it just me or does it seem to get harder to plan birthday parties as they get older?!?! I was short on ideas and what I did manage to come up with wasn't "cool" so this year it was left up to Kase to decide what he wanted to do for his 10th birthday. Shenaniganz was the winner and because parties there can quickly add up to a small mortgage payment, we had to limit the guest list to just close friends and family!
He had a tough time narrowing it down to18 guests and I hated to do it for fear of hurting feelings but we managed to make it happen. The kids played laser tag, drank way too much Dr. Pepper, ate enough pizza and cupcakes for 30 kids, opened presents and spent lots of time playing games in the arcade area.
It was by far the easiest birthday party ever! I only had to take care of cupcakes and party favors and both of those things were pretty easy to do for a bunch of 10 year olds.
Not only was the planning part easy, it was also the first year that I actually had time to visit with parents, take pictures, eat and use the restroom more than once. It was so nice to relax and enjoy the evening with Kase. He has some pretty awesome friends and we all had a blast!
Happy Birthday Kase-can.not believe you're already closing in on 11! Where oh where has the time gone? You are the sweetest, kindest and most compassionate 10 year old I know and how blessed we are that you belong to us? We've enjoyed watching you grow this past year and are so very proud of you for who you are and the young man you're becoming. We love you more than you can ever imagine!
