Our first week of Christmas vacation has been full of many fun surprises. Tuesday night, we dressed the boys in their jammies and hopped aboard the Polar Express for a chilly, train ride through Grapevine.
Kase and Keller had a great time making ornaments,
singing and dancing at the pre-show
and visiting w/Santa on the train ride.
Tony and I enjoyed watching the kids and their sweet expressions throughout the night. Sounds so cliche, but Christmas is truly magical when seen through the eyes of a child. It really is the best time of the year and what a blessing that I get to spend it w/these special guys.
Thank you Kendra for getting sick so we could use the tickets...kidding, kidding. I hope you and the little ones are feeling better. Let's do it again next year, minus the nasty flu bug!
Wednesday morning, Keller spent some one on one time w/Maw-maw while Kase and I headed to meet our friends
and/or girlfriend
at the Dallas Children's Theater for the Junie B. Jones Jingle Bells, Batman Spells play.
Kase's wonderful kindergarten teacher {who we will love forever} introduced him to the series of books and he's been a big fan since. In fact, I think he's read almost every book in the series. The grammar isn't always the best and the author uses "stupid" and "dumb" more than I care to hear but the story lines are usually really good. Kase enjoys the books and loves going to plays so I knew our date together would be a hit...and it was.
He was excited to spend the day w/friends and really enjoyed having mommy all to himself. Thanks Kase for our special mommy and me day...I love you sugar bug, bug, bug!
