This year, we did a little something different and attended the candlelight worship service on the Eve before Christmas Eve. We thought it might be less crowded but obviously that's what everyone else thought too. Although it was difficult getting in and out of the parking lot, it was wonderful to see so many people coming together to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Maw-maw drove out and spent the evening w/us so that made our night even more special.
For the past 10 years, she's heard us talk about what a beautiful service it is so she decided to come out and see for herself. Like the rest of us, she thought it was absolutely perfect...and it was. I know I've said it before but we are so blessed to call Lake Pointe our home/church. The music was incredible and so moving that I seriously wanted to stand up and sing as loud as I could. Fortunately, for those nearby, I kept my volume at a minimum. Jason Castro sang so that made Kase's night. The message was simply stated, yet so profound in meaning and one I'm really going to focus on as we move into the new year; making sure I {we} keep Jesus out of the "box"{nativity} year round and not just at Christmas. He's so deserving! Service ended w/the lighting of our candles and the singing of Silent Night...absolutely breathtaking and a great reminder of God's amazing love for us. We are so grateful.
