Happy New Year!
Last night, we rang in the New Year w/friends and some very excited little boys who couldn't wait to stay up until midnight. Before counting down and watching the ball drop, they had a great time gathering firewood for the fire pit, popping fireworks, making s'mores, sipping sparkling grape juice, playing hide and go seek w/flashlights but the highlight of the night ended up being the dance competition on the Wii.

It was absolutely hysterical to watch the kids dance and listen to all of the little girls sing. We definitely have some future American Idols on our hands. While the moms and kids were dancing, the dads were outside playing darts in the cold night air. I guess they didn't want the moms to show them up in front of the kids b/c we all know moms are much better dancers!
By 11:15, the boys were rubbing their eyes and asking if it was time to go home. They are definitely not used to being up at that hour of the night. We decided to call it a night and headed home to watch the ball drop in our jammies. Good-bye two-thousand ten, hello two-thousand eleven!
Happy New Year to our friends and family. We hope your evening was spectacular and that 2011 is full of precious moments and many, many blessings from the faithful One who makes those moments happen!
