Music Program

Way, way back in February, February 8th to be exact, our handsome little 2nd grader performed in a music program at the monthly PTA meeting. Much to our surprise, our extremely shy child tried out for and earned a speaking part in the program.

It was just a short sentence or two but we were so proud of him for stepping outside of his comfort zone and trying something new. He was all smiles as he walked out onto the stage, sang loudly and then clearly spoke his lines for all to hear.

Judging from the look on his face, I think he was even shocked at how well he did in front of a large crowd.

It was such a precious sight and I just might've shed a tear as I watched my once shy, now confident firstborn son exit the stage and hug his 2nd grade teacher.
