Baseball Camp

Keller recently completed his first, of what I'm sure will be many, baseball camps in his future.

This particular one was held by the coaching staff at one of the local high schools. It's not the school he will attend but was the only one that would allow an incoming kindergartner to participate so he was a proud "Hawk" for a week.

The camp was Monday through Thursday and lasted 3 hours each day. It was steamy hot and humid but he loved every single minute of it and has already asked us to sign him up for antoher one. You would think the triple digit temps would keep him from wanting to be outdoors but not when it comes to baseball.

He was in the K-3rd grade group so he thought he was pretty cool getting to play with the big kids. They also played coach pitch instead of t-ball so that was new to him. He absolutely loved it and did amazingly well. They played a game at the end of each session and Keller got a hit every at bat. He was determined not to strike out!

He also caught his 1st fly ball, hit a home run, a double and a triple w/out using a tee.

Talk about a proud momma! He was equally as proud and couldn't wait to share the big news w/Daddy and the rest of our family at the end of each day.

So cute and so worth sitting out in the hot sun to watch...nasty, stinky, sweaty clothes and all.
