Much to the boy's dislike, they started swim lessons last week.
Both took lessons when they were younger so they're convinced they know how to swim. After a little pep talk that included some drowning stories, I convinced them otherwise. They agreed to smile and make the best of it...and they have so far.
Kase is very comfortable in the water and swims all over the place but needs a little instruction on proper technique. Dog paddling is great and gets you around the pool but I want him to learn how to really "swim" using his arms and legs.
Keller, on the other hand, is still hesitant to be fully submerged in the water and is pretty timid when we're floating around in the deep end. In fact, he won't let us take his floaties off even when we're holding him. Big surprise considering he's our little dare devil. We're hoping the lessons will help w/his confidence b/c he loves the water and we want him to be comfortable while in it.
One week down...one week to go.
