Day 4-time for the much anticipated trip to Legoland...every Lego lovers dream come true. We left the hotel bright and early, stopped for a quick breakfast and made it to Legoland right as they were opening the gates.
The boys couldn't wait to get inside and check it out. I wish I would've captured a picture of their faces b/c their expressions were priceless...jaws dropped and eyes wide open as they scanned all the rides, buildings and characters made out of Lego's. I might've had a tear or two in my eyes b/c it was just so precious and sweet to watch.
We pulled out our park map and went to work planning our day. There was so much to do and see that we wanted to make sure we didn't miss anything. Looking back now, I think the only thing we missed was the roller coaster ride w/an hour wait...no thank you. We rode ride after ride,
dug for dinosaur bones,
posed w/Lego friends,
watched a Fire Town safety show,
and stood in awe of the "really cool" things made out of Lego's.
It was crazy to think of the time that went into building something so large. The boys talked about how many pieces they thought each took, what their favorite was and whether or not they could build something like that when they returned home... deep discussions about Lego's.
After a little afternoon snack and a visit to the gift shop, we headed to the waterpark.
The boys were having a blast and didn't want the day to end. Neither did I b/c the next day was our last day in San Diego. We were all a little tired but nowhere near ready for the fun to end.
