Day at the Museum

Last week or the week before...I can't keep up w/days during the summer, the boys and I took a little field trip to the Dallas Children's Museum and IMAX w/Morgan, Presley and our sweet friend, Trinity.

It's something we talked about doing last summer but never quite made it over there so Kase added it to this summers to do list. Guess that meant we had to go b/c you can't leave anything unchecked on his list. We got there right when they opened so the kids pretty much had free reign of the place. They started off digging for dinosaur bones and then set off to explore the different rooms.

Keller was so excited to see the fire station and couldn't wait to put on the gear and ring the bell.

The kids had so much fun running from room to room checking out all the cool things to see and do.

Once we were done w/the museum, it was about time for our movie to start.

Keller isn't a fan of 3D movies so I wasn't sure what he would think of the IMAX but he loved it. Actually, we all did. It was a really interesting movie about dolphins and the pictures were unbelievable. In fact, they were so real that I saw the boys look down on the ground several times to make sure we weren't really flying over the ocean, riding in a boat or swimming w/the dolphins. As soon as the movie ended, we made a quick stop at the gift shop b/c you know you don't leave a place like that w/out a prize. We finished off the afternoon w/lunch at Chuy's and yummy custard from Wild about Harry's. It was such a fun day and we are so thankful we got to spend it w/Presley, Aunt Bubba and our sweet friend Trin. Dallas Children's Museum-check!
