October 1st

The boys noticed the tent was up and started screaming w/excitement b/c they knew it would soon be time for our yearly trip to the Pumpkin Patch.

I usually try to hold off until later in the month so our pumpkins don't get all squishy but the boys weren't having any part of that idea. It was October 1st and that meant it was time to run through the hay maze and search for their prized pumpkin so off we went on opening day!

Keller knew exactly what kind of pumpkin he wanted so he spent most of his time running around, pulling the wagon and climbing on hay bales.

Kase needed some extra time to check out all the different kinds before he made his final selection. A lot goes into picking out a pumpkin when you're 8 years old!

The weather was absolutely beautiful so it made for a perfect day at the patch. We left w/some potted mums, a couple of "baby pumpkins", some carving pumpkins and three pieces of squash carefully chosen by Kase. He loved the uniqueness of each piece and thought they deserved a place w/the other Fall decorations in his room. Such a sweet boy to always see the goodness in things that are different...even if it is just a piece of squash.

Look at those precious faces...I'm so in love that I seriously think my heart might explode!

Happy Fall Y'all!
