Week-end Recap

Friday morning Kase's school had a Muffins for Mom breakfast so we met up w/Tobie and her kids and had a nice conversation over breakfast. Well...Tobie and I talked while the kids ran around playing. They did stop occasionally to take a bite or two but there was way too much excitement to sit and talk to mom.

Oh well...I had a great time and it was a special time for Keller as he got to be a part of Kase's day at school. On the way out, sweet little Keller saw a perfect spot for a picture so he decided to sit down and have his picture taken...all by himself!

Isn't he cute?

We were almost to the car and Keller noticed "nuts" laying in the grass. Although I was already running late, I decided the rest of the world could wait while we enjoyed the beauty of nature. So, instead of taking time to smell the roses, we took time to pick acorns...several handfuls!

Daddy ended up not going out of town. Sad for him but good for us b/c we like having him at home! Saturday was Christmas quick and painless so we ventured over to "Cupcake's" house aka Karen. The boys love her and always do great...we were in and out in 5 minutes. In fact, daddy was talking to her husband and didn't even know she had taken a picture. She's amazing and we are so lucky to have found her! Sunday night was family game night and it was time to try out our new game...Operation.

Pure concentration....BEEEEEEEEEP!

The boys loved it and Kase actually beat us twice. Keller didn't really care about getting the pieces out; he just wanted to hear the noise and see the nose light up. It was a great way to end the weekend and this is what I captured right before going to bed...

Thank you Lord for my precious children who make my heart smile everyday!
