Oh what fun it is to spend the afternoon w/20 Kindergarteners!!! In the 3 hours I was there, we made a gingerbread man ornament, wrote Santa letters, played outside and watched Rudolph. I enjoyed it all but my favorite part of the afternoon was listening to them write their letters to Santa. They were concentrating so hard as they tried to spell each word on their own by sounding out the letters. Some decided to draw a picture to go along w/the letter and let me tell you, they are picky about their colors. Red had to be red and they checked the name of the color on the crayon before they started coloring w/it!
I was very impressed w/the finished product and still can't believe that my 5 year old can spell well enough to write his own letter. I think "see spot run" is a thing of the past b/c Kindergarten isn't what it used to be...with the exception of the silly faces you make w/your friends when it's picture time!
I'm so glad Kase gets to spend his days w/such silly little boys and girls...
I have a smile on my face just thinking about them!

How cute! Ok- so wait until 2nd grade when we sit at one end of the table only to look down at the little girl who you really have a crush on but you have to pretend it is really your friend with the crush so your mom won't know. HAHA!! Do 2nd graders really think that can be pulled off on us?? NOT!!! So needless to say I met his crush (w/out) saying her name. She is So cute!! He still won't admit it but when you are overheard it is hard to deny it, hehe.
