Cut, cut, snip, snip...

YIPPEE...I finally convinced Kase to cut his hair a little shorter. I told him Zac Efron from HSM got a hair cut so he agreed to give it a try since he's the reason Kase wanted to let his hair grow out in the first place. Yes, my 5 year old came to me w/a picture out of his Nick Jr. magazine and told me that's what he wanted his hair to look like. Picking my battles wisely, I decided we'd give it a try. That was in April so we tried for 8 months and that's long enough for me. I love the look but not on Kase...it requires too much fixing. I was ready for a hair cut that takes you all of 5 seconds to fix. As you can tell by the picture, the lady didn't hold back when I said I wanted it short. Fine w/me but didn't go over too well w/Kase. He had the saddest, most frightened look on his face as he watched his hair fall to the ground. I'll admit, I was a little sad b/c my little boy suddenly didn't look so little anymore. Once she was done cutting, he hopped down and told me to make it look messy. Are you serious? You're 5 years old and you're asking me to make your hair messy? The eyes started filling up w/tears so I knew I better do something. I borrowed some gel but of course, it still wasn't enough to stop the tears. I felt like the most horrible mom in the world. I just made my baby get his hair cut and now he's devastated. Way to go mom!!Thank goodness Groovy's was a few doors down. I knew they'd have something that would make it all better...and boy was I right?!?! Stinky skunk, you saved the day!
