With the loss of a new tooth, comes the "Lost Tooth Notebook". He had a great time filling it out and illustrating the story. I was so surprised at how well he expressed his thoughts but even more surprised by his handwriting. He has great penmanship and his teacher told him, "his handwriting is better than some 4th graders." We're so proud of our hardworking student!
Wednesday was Junie B. Jones day so Kase had to dress up like a character from the book. After searching the internet, he decided he wanted to be "Handsome Warren". Of course, we think he's handsome all the time but today he looked extra handsome wearing his necktie. Too bad you can't see it b/c it blends in w/the shirt. I'm very sad that I cut off the shoes b/c they made the outfit...good ol' black hi-top Converse. No black dress shoes for this young man!

Busy week in the life of a 6 year old!
This past week has been very busy {fun} for Kase. He's had several extra curricular activities going on but his favorite things have been happening in the halls of Nebbie Williams and right inside his very own kindergarten classroom. One might ask, why is he having a good time in the hallway? Isn't that where the bad kids are sent?" No, not at this school. It's the site of the stick horse races. He had to design his own stickhorse and then participate in the stick horse race w/the other kindergarten jockeys. Unfortunately, Kase has my "gracefulness" and fell down while riding his horse. He told me it was the shoelace that caused him to trip and I told him he just had a wild horse and it bucked him off. I think he liked my story better but he didn't believe that's what really happened. Can't fool a 6 year old! Here he is posing w/his horse, Patches.
