A special day...

As mentioned in the previous post, the boys and I celebrated Mother's day in Mt. Pleasant. My cousin and her sweet little baby girl were in town from Chicago so my family went down on Saturday. My mom wasn't expecting us to come down b/c she knew I had prom {gotta love teaching high School} Saturday night and assumed I'd be too tired to make the trip down. My little angels let me sleep in on Sunday; however, I was still pretty exhausted but there was no way I wasn't going to spend Mother's day w/my own my mother. I knew it would be a nice surprise and everyone else was expecting us so we loaded up the car, stopped off at Starbucks and then took a little road trip. That was after I got my Mother's day goodies.

Kase picked out the flowers all by himself...he melts my heart!

I also got a new flower bed full of pretty flowers but I didn't take a picture of those. They need some time to grow! Thank goodness for sprinkler systems or they might not make it through the summer!

Off to Mt. Pleasant...

Aunt Phyllis lives out in the country and the boys always have such a great time so I knew it would make for a very enjoyable Mother's day...and I was right. Grammer was so excited when the boys walked in and it just made her {my} day! It was such a special treat spending the day w/the ones we love most

and watching the boys do what they love most.

We don't usually play "hut-hut" w/out pants but it's Mother's day...anything goes!

It was such a simple day but so incredibly fulfilling. I spent time remembering my grandmothers and the legacy they left behind while also celebrating my own mother and the title that I will forever cherish, "Mommy, momma and one day mom". I am so blessed and very grateful on Mother's day and everyday!
