Day 3

We originally planned on going back to Sea World the morning of Day 3 but decided to go on a safari and save Sea World for the afternoon. That turned out to be a very wise choice on our part b/c the heat index was 107 degrees. Whew...we might've melted! This was the boys {and Tony's} first trip to a wildlife ranch so they were bouncing off the walls w/excitement when we told them we were going to go.

I don't think either of them really believed us when we told them the animals would come up to our car but it didn't take long for them to see we really did know what we were talking about.

Once again, we had to purchase an adventure guide so Kase and daddy could have information about each animal readily available to read and discuss. Kase's favorite animal was the giraffe

and Keller liked the Lemur monkey...go figure! He and daddy were also very excited when they looked over and saw a "hook em horn" Longhorn.

Of course, my favorite was the zebra.

We did have to roll up our windows when we came to the ostrich habitat b/c they were poking their long necks into cars and we didn't want to get pecked.

The wildlife ranch also had a petting zoo so the boys enjoyed getting to walk around and feed the animals;

until Kase realized that he had poop on his shoes. OOOOOHHHHH...help us all. It was a major catastrophe and we had to go the water trough and wash it off immediately. Keller, on the other hand, heard us talking about it and thought it was so cool that he had "poopie" on his shoes! I can't tell you how many times he said, "Mommy, you got poopie on your shoes? Daddy, you got poopie on your shoes? Kase, it's OK you get poopie on your shoes. It be OK." Such a comforting little brother!

We decided to let the boys skip naps so we could spend the afternoon at Sea World instead. It's vacation, why not? Since we'd already seen the shows, we spent the entire time in the Lost Lagoon water park. Our hands and feet were pruned up by the time we left but there was still more swimming to be had so we spent the rest of the evening out by the pool at the hotel.

No smores, just good ol' swimming fun and a pizza party to celebrate the last day of our vacation. The adults did indulge in a little room service cheesecake dessert. We figured we earned it after spending 3 days w/3 kids. It was extremely hot, wild, crazy, chaotic, busy, tiring but worth every bit of it and then some. We enjoyed being together as a family and I know the boys loved having Presley, Aunt Bubba and Larry around for 3 days straight. Looking back on the trip, I think my favorite part was laughing w/Morgan and feeling like we were siblings on vacation all over again. Thank you Morg and Larry for deciding to join us. It was definitely a trip to remember and we can't wait to take many more trips together. Morgan, would you find it comical if I offered you a bag of smores? Love you sister; it felt so good to sit and laugh until we had tears in our eyes!
