Day 2

The boys woke up bright and early b/c they knew exactly what was in store for Day 2 of our vacation. They rolled out of bed and literally hit the ground running and didn't stop until 10:00 that night.

{The boys anxiously awaiting the shuttle. They were so excited when they discovered that there were no carseats on our bus. You mean to tell me we get to ride in a grown up seat...how cool!}

I'm not even going to lie...it was a struggle for the adults to keep up w/3 energetic children; but, somehow, we managed to survive. Thanks to gallons lots of bottled water, mini fans, a few breaks in b/w shows, and the double stroller rental; everyone was able to withstand the blazing hot sun.

The highlight of the day for Keller was getting to see the "real" Shamu

and riding the roller coaster w/daddy.

Kase saw Shamu 3 years ago so his favorite part of the trip was feeding the dolphins,

reading about all of the animals in each show

and talking in great length about the show after it was over.

Thank you Kase for being such a wonderful tour guide. We thought at one time you wanted to be a zoologist but now I think you've decided on being a marine biologist so you can study all of the animals that live in the ocean. Who on Earth did you inherit the love of science gene from? Certainly not me b/c thinking about it makes my head spin in circles! I'm so glad daddy likes to engage in that conversation w/you and also takes a liking to the study of animals and their habitat. Please know that I love listening to you talk about it but I have nothing educational to contribute unless it has to do w/math! After a short nap,

we played outside at the pool

and roasted marshmallows by the campfire so we could make smores.

The kids thought the process was fun but weren't too interested in eating a burnt marshmallow. Regular ones worked just fine for them.

As for the adults, we had our fair share of burnt marshmallows...and then some!
