Day 1

After a much too short two hour stop at the outlet mall, we arrived in San Antonio at 4:00 Sunday. The boys and Presley couldn't wait to spend 4 days together so there was no time for rest. We quickly changed clothes and headed for the Riverwalk. After getting lost and driving through what I'm sure is the worst part of San Antonio, we finally arrived in a parking lot that looked like a safe place to leave our car. Turns out it wasn't the safest place b/c we heard on the news the next morning that there was a drive-by shooting not long after we left. Thank you Lord for protecting us from this violent act and please be w/those whose lives are forever changed by such a senseless crime. Once again, it pays to have God by your side at all times! The dinner was yummy, the boat ride was fun

but the highlight of the night for the kids was running around outside and watching the pidgeons eat left-over crumbs off the sidewalk. We explored a little bit

and then headed back to the hotel to get in bed early so that we were all well rested and ready to meet Shamu bright and early the next morning.
