Kase's last day of school was yesterday {Do I really have a first grader?}
and mine was today so our summer vacation is officially underway. Let the fun begin...swim lessons, VBS, summer camps, family vacations, fun in the sun and sand and anything else our hearts desire. We can even sit outside and eat popsicles all day just b/c we don't have anywhere else we have to be. Life w/out a schedule...such a refreshing feeling! We surprised Kase yesterday by picking up one of his best friends and having her spend the night w/us. Yes, we allow our son to have girls spend the night...but only Jaycee.
She is our babysitters granddaughter so she and Kase spent the first 5 years of their lives together and also spent 6 months together at LRSH before she moved to Louisianna. It was a very tearful good-bye so Kase, at the young age of 6, has already suffered his first broken heart. Yet, he still gives her flowers.
Anytime she's in town visiting, we always get them together to play. This particular time, he had no idea she was even in town so the look on his face when we walked in the door was priceless. They didn't miss a beat picking up right where they left off the last time she was in town. Judging by the picture, I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. I must say his toe touch is a lot better than mine ever was!
The "big kids" were sweet and allowed little brother to play w/them. Keller had such a good time and I think he turned out to be pretty entertaining to them.
We took them to Firewheel for pizza, playtime and of course, pictures by the fountain.
What good would a trip to Firewheel be w/out pictures by the fountain? Tony thinks he has the answer but what does he know? Actually he knows a lot but I pretend he knows nothing about my obsession w/pictures. I wonder if they have a support group for that. Hmmm, what do you think Keller?
Should I look into it over the summer? No way, I think I'll just enjoy being a stay at home mommy and document our fun by taking hundreds {thousands}of pictures.
You're right Keller; we have almost 3 months of summer vacation so we better get started!
