Girls just wanna have fun...

And on Saturday, we did more than "just have fun"; we had a BLAST! My very dear friend, Natalie, is getting married in 2 weeks so we spent the day and night celebrating w/her. The morning was full of excitement and lots of laughter as we watched her open gifts at the lingerie shower. As much as we wanted to embarrass her, we just couldn't b/c she's so innocent and sweet. We also thought she was somewhat modest but she laid that claim to rest when she decided to model her new nighties for us. Thanks for the fashion show Nat. Seeing you made me want to work just a little bit harder at boot camp.

Her fiance graduated from A&M and is a die hard Aggie so I know he'll love this one!

This was a very creative kit given to her and it was absolutely hysterical. I can't tell you what was inside b/c my blog is G-rated but you can use your imagination to figure it out!

After the shower, we had a nice, yummy lunch at PF Changs and then headed to Fort Worth for the bachelorette party. Several of the girls brought some very interesting items for her to wear, however, she only put them on long enough for pictures.

I can't say that I blame her. I mean, check out that bra...it's terrible looking but it sure was funny. She did agree to wear the boa and garter.

There were 10 of us trying to get ready so as you can imagine; it was very comical. It's a wonder we didn't burn the place down b/c I think there was an iron, blow dryer, curling iron or straightening iron plugged into every socket in our room. For a second, I felt like I was back in my dorm at Southwest Texas State. Suprisingly enough, we made it to our dinner reservation on time. Dinner was at Cabo Grande and then we went to the Four Day Weekend Comedy Club. I made it through both of those and as we were walking to our next stop, 8.0, I checked my voicemail and had a message from Kase. He wasn't feeling well and "needed" his mommy so my overnight trip w/the girls ended a little sooner than planned. At this point, it was 11:30 so I wasn't too excited about an hour and a half trip home; but, duty calls. I hurried back to the hotel, packed up my things, grabbed a diet coke, prayed I would make it home w/out falling asleep, turned up the music and made it back in less time than it took me to get there. Hmmm...wonder how that happened? Despite the change of plans, I had a great time w/the girls and can't wait for August 1st when Natalie goes from being a Miss to a Mrs. Congratulations my dear friend....enjoy your last few days as a bachelorette b/c married life is right around the corner!
