Spares and Strikes

Somehow I overlooked posting about our recent trip to the bowling alley for Ashton's {Kase's good friend from school} birthday party so this post is a little late. I'm thinking the delay might have something to do w/the fact that I have a thousand files on my computer so it's hard to know which pictures have been posted and which ones are waiting in the wings. I try to keep things organized but sometimes it's just down right impossible. Tony was so glad the camera battery ran out at the party but lucky for me it didn't happen until the end. So, I was still able to capture the boys bowling some spares and even a few strikes...thanks to the bumpers!

We got tickled at Keller b/c after he rolled his ball, he got down on his knees so he could take a better look at the pins.

I don't think he was pleased to hear his big brother was beating him.

Kase rolled a strike on his first turn so he felt like quite the big shot. The game is a little slow paced for him so he was ready to take his shoes off after 5 rounds.

Keller continued playing until he saw the dog come by to say hi to the birthday boy. Bless his little heart, the dog didn't talk to him so he chased him across the bowling alley to give him a hug. He was trying to stop him but I guess he couldn't hear Keller saying, "come here dog, here I am." The dog finally stopped and Keller was able to snuggle w/him for a minute!

After looking at this picture of Kase,

I also just realized I never posted about the boo-boo on his cheek and boy was it a doozie! He was trying to climb up the slide and slipped and hit his cheek on the side...just like we told him he would but 6 year olds know everything. Within minutes, it was a pretty shade of black/blue and very swollen. Fast forward several weeks and it's still a little pink and has a knot inside the cheek area. He said it doesn't hurt so we're giving it a couple more days and then we're off to the doctor to have it looked at. Please say a little prayer that it disappears soon b/c as you all know, I worry about everything...even little bumps!
