In the blink of an eye...

Our first born son is suddenly a 7 year old who is becoming more and more independent by the day.

That same 7 year old...

~has his own personal email address {sends and receives email}
~is shy around girls yet has a "girlfriend"
~loves Lego's
~is a bookworm and reads A-L-L the time
~can't wait to get to school everyday
~picks out his own clothes when we go shopping
~dislikes tennis shoes
~is extremely picky about the length of his pants
~enjoys playing basketball
~is often annoyed by his little brother
~requests "alone" time in his room
~needs money to "buy his own lunch"
~and L.O.V.E.S dinosaurs and fossils.

With that being said, it was only fitting to have a dinosaur themed birthday party in celebration of his 7th birthday. However, after his large rockstar party last year, I decided it was time to host a party somewhere else...outside the walls of our home. We gave him several options and after pondering for a few days, he decided on bowling. So, off to the bowlarama we go.

All of his special friends from school were there as well as family friends who've been celebrating w/us since his first birthday.

Once again, Tony and I are truly blessed to have such a special group of friends with children who have become some of Kase's most precious childhood buddies.

The kids had an absolute ball and I will tell you, some of those little 1st graders can bowl. I'm sure the bumpers and ramps helped a little. Where were those when I was a kid?

A few of the dads decided to test out their bowling skills alongside the kids and I think they'll re-think that next time. Especially, the one person who decided to walk down the lane to get a stuck ball and busted his "youknowwhat" in front of EVERYONE. H-E-L-L-O, did you not know the lanes are as slick as ice? He Tony was so embarrassed and I'm still upset that I didn't catch it on video or at least get a picture. It was definitely worthy of being on America's Funniest Home Videos. The kids found it to be more hilarious than the adults and I'm sure it's b/c the adults were wondering if he was going to be able to get up and walk after such a hard fall. He was fine, just a little red-faced afterwards. After bowling, it was time for pizza,

CAKE

and PRESENTS!

Happy Birthday Kase...we are so grateful for the past 7 years God has blessed us with and look forward to many, many more special days, months and years together. You are the perfect son and we watch with boundless pride as you grow each and everyday. We love you to the moon and back...and then some!
