Keller had his first flag football practice Monday and it was downright hilarious. I'm not exactly sure how much instruction actually took place but the kids sure had a good time running around trying to pull flags.
Well, everyone but our child. He was highly disappointed and had a hard time understanding why you couldn't tackle the guy w/the ball.
Isn't that what football is all about? He's seen it on TV and at all of the high school games we've attended so why are we telling him to pull a flag? According to him, "that was boring". Fortunately, he has two very patient coaches who were able to convince him after the 105th time that one day he would be able to play "tackle football" but for now, he was playing "flag football" and that meant you had to pull flags.
You can tell from the look on his face, he is serious about his game!
