movie date with mommy

Tony and Keller loaded up their lawn equipment and headed down early this morning to mow maw-maws yard. As soon as they were gone, Kase and I decided it was the perfect time for a mommy and me movie date. Keller would much rather help Tony work outside than have to sit still for an hour and a half so I didn't feel bad about leaving him behind. Nor did he feel bad about leaving us.

Not sure what the hula hoop has to do w/mowing but Keller thought it needed to go too.

Kase has been talking about Despicable Me since we saw the previews for it several weeks ago so I knew that would be his movie of choice...and I was right. He sees a preview one time, remembers the date and reminds you of it as the date gets closer! The child loves him some movies and is currently awaiting the arrival of the Sorcerer's Apprentice, Ramona and Beezus and Cats and Dogs. I'm actually looking forward to Ramona and Beezus b/c I remember reading Beverly Cleary books as a child and loving every single one of them. Looks like it's going to be a cute movie...hope we're not disappointed. Now back to our morning matinee...

According to Kase, if a movie comes out in 3D, you "must" see it in 3D. Never mind the fact that you do have a choice and that one is a little more expensive than the other; it's always 3D w/the cool glasses for this guy.

Can you tell by his face below that he really wants me to put my camera up? And so did the grumpy man beside me.

Okay, I'll put it up but I'm not promising that I won't get it back out.

I can't help it. I see a brick wall or an old fence and think it's time for a picture. Yes, something is seriously wrong w/me but blame it on my children. I wasn't like this until they came along. They're just so darn cute...now if the sun would get out of his eyes so he could actually look at my camera!

After the movies, we met up with my niece this little rockstar diva

and my sister for some lunch and shopping. Kase enjoyed his time w/mommy but he was excited to see Presley and have a buddy along for rest of the day. Thanks Kase for such a special day together. I hope you're never "too cool" for a movie date w/your mommy!
