The Saturday before school started, some friends of ours and their precious children gathered at our house for what turned out to be a back to school party.
The dads actually planned the get together with the Cowboys pre-season game in mind. However, as soon as Kase heard we were having a party, he went to work planning his very own back to school party. Poor Keller misunderstood us and thought we said "pool party" so he was rather disappointed when there was no pool at our party.
I thought the idea of going back to school deserved a party so I jumped on board w/Kase and the planning began. For those of you that know me know I'm a huge planner so having to plan a party in one day was a little out of my league. I had no food, no decorations, my house was dirty and I had a day to get it all together. I sent Kase off to search his room and playroom for school related things while I dug through dusty boxes of my old elementary school teacher stuff. Between the two of us and the school supplies already packed in his backpack, we found plenty to decorate with.
The only thing we couldn't find were party favors. I could've gone w/out but Kase didn't like the idea of a party w/out favors so off to Target for food and favors. Luckily, everything came together and it turned out to be a wonderful, last minute, thrown together back to school party.
According to this flirty little fella...
and his tough little brother...
it was one "really cool" party!
