Meet the Teacher

Is summer really over? I feel like I just finished working graduation and now here we are ready to start another new school year. Time flies when you're having fun and we definitely had a lot of that this past summer. I started back to work last Monday so Kase spent the last week of his summer vacation at Mawmaw's house. Keller started at his new daycare and absolutely loved it. He also loved being an only child for the week but was very happy to see his big brother on Friday, as were the rest of us. Kase, on the other hand, wasn't overly thrilled about coming home but knew we had a very important person to meet that afternoon.

Introducing Kase and his 2nd grade teacher, Dr. Hodges.

Judging by the smile on his face, I think it's safe to say he's excited about getting the teacher he wanted...and so am I.

Once I completed the paperwork and unloaded his supplies, we had to go out to the hallway and check out the 2nd grade lockers.

Seriously? Second grade has lockers and they aren't just for show. They actually use them. I don't think I had a locker until middle school. My how the times have changed and now I really feel like I attended school back in the olden days?

After opening and closing lockers for 5 minutes, we stopped by the Kindergarten and 1st grade hall to say hello to his former teachers and then we were off to the cafeteria for the fun stuff...yearbooks, planners, spirit wear, PTA, Booster Club, and many other things that required me to break out the good ol' checkbook. I will say it's all completely worth it b/c Kase absolutely loves school and everything about. Looks like it's going to be another AWESOME school year!
