OKC SWAG Classic Baseball Tournament

Well, we didn't come back from Oklahoma with a 4 ft tall first place trophy but we did come back with a pretty nice 2nd place trophy,

a lot of special memories,

and some very tired little boys.

I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or the parents.  We arrived in OKC late Friday night and grabbed a quick bite to eat at a yummy pizza place before tucking in for the night.  The boys woke up bright and early Saturday morning so we got ready and headed down to meet the others for what we hoped would be a breakfast of champions.  After breakfast, the dads took the boys to practice at the fields while the moms took a slight detour and somehow ended up at a cute little boutique in town. What a coincidence or was that perfect planning on our part?  One will never know!  We made it to the fields just in time to give the boys a good luck hug and kiss before the first game.  They're only 6 so we can still get away with that.  The 90 degree temps didn't seem to slow the boys down any as they won games 1, 2, and 3.  Way to go Texans!

I honestly don't know how they were still going in the last game because I was worn out and all I did was sit in the stands and cheer...such little troopers we have.  We ended Saturday as the 2nd seed so we only had one game to play Sunday and that was the championship game against the dreaded Mudcats...again!  They beat us in the championship game at the last tournament so our boys were fired up and ready to go...it was payback time.  Both teams played really well but our boys came up a little short in the end. The Mudcat players and parents are such nice people so you can't help but like them but we're kinda tired of getting beat by them!

Our paths will cross again this summer at the Little League World Series in Louisiana but this time, we're bringing that 1st place trophy back home to Texas.  The boys know you have to beat the best to be the best and the 6u Texans are ready to do it!

We love you 1-9!
