let the CHRISTmas vacation begin...

Friday, at 12:30, the last bell rang and it was time for Christmas vacation. I couldn't get out the door fast enough. Two full weeks w/no routine or schedule doing whatever our little hearts desire...such a great feeling! On the way home from work, I stopped off at Kase's school to help w/his class Christmas party. He knew I was coming but the sparkle in his eye when he saw me might've made me cry...okay, I did cry. I can't help it. Something about seeing my firstborn in a 2nd grade classroom brings me to tears...he's growing up so fast!

He and his friends had a fabulous time making ornaments, playing BINGO and eating an assortment of sugary goodness.

As soon as Kase's party ended, Tony and I were off to Keller's school to join his class for their Christmas party. We walked in and saw our busy little preschooler sitting nice and quietly in his chair w/icing on his face and mustard on his shirt. No wonder he was so quiet, he was chowing down!

He showed us all of his holiday artwork and was ready to go.

No party for him, he wanted to go home and play outside. Off we went w/a bag full of more sugar...that was an easy one.

First semester of school has ended and we are on Christmas break for two weeks. Did I already tell you what a great feeling that is?
