Three years ago, I took this very same picture only Kase was wearing the lab coat. This time, it was little brothers turn.
The kindergarten classes have a science bag and one lucky kid gets to bring it home each week. Keller has been talking about the bag for weeks and was so excited when it was finally his turn to bring it home. Each student has to select an experiment, write about it in the notebook and perform it at school for their classmates. We looked at books and discussed our many options but Keller was determined to find one that involved a baseball. Told you the kid was obsessed! After searching through two books, cover to cover, he finally found the perfect one. It not only involved a baseball but a tennis ball as well. Two balls instead of one...can you imagine his excitement? We gathered all of the required materials and performed the experiment a couple of times so it would go smoothly the day of his presentation...and it did. When dropped at the same time, the tennis ball and baseball hit the floor at exactly the same time. The marble and aluminum foil ball did the very same thing. Keller learned an early lesson on gravity, his science experiment was a success and he finally got to take a baseball to school. It was a win win for him!
