"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever." Psalm 107:1
We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving that if I listed them all on here, it would end up more like a book than a blog post. So, I'll just share my most thankful thoughts!
I am thankful for...
~ Our Heavenly Father whose love, grace, mercy and forgiveness is indescribable, unfailing and never ending. I love you Lord!
~My husband who loves me despite my imperfections. He is truly my best friend and the glue that holds us together. I am thankful that he is an amazing provider to our family. The boys are blessed to call him "daddy" and his love for them is evidenced by the relationship he has with them. It is truly amazing and I'm honored to be a part of it. I love you honey!
~My precious children Kase & Keller. I never knew the true meaning of love until they entered my life. God knew what he was doing when he made me the mother of 2 boys...I wouldn't want it any other way. Together they form the "brother club" and I find no greater joy than to watch them interact w/one another while their own personalities are developing at the same time. They are the light of my life and the source of my existence. My heart smiles at the very mention of their name. I love you to the moon and back sugar bug and sweet pea!
~My incredible parents. Moving back to Rockwall was one of the best decisions we've made as it brought us closer to them. I enjoy family time and getting to re-live my childhood by spending time in the house I grew up in. So many memories and special moments happened there and I'm glad I get to share those w/my two children. Kase & Keller absolutely adore their Papa & Grammer and I'm so thankful that they get to experience the same love and guidance that I did as a child. I love you mom and dad!
~My little sister, Morgan. I can't imagine what my life would be like w/out her. She is my sounding board and my saving grace when I feel like the world is caving in on me. I'm thankful for her daughter and my beautiful niece who now gives me a reason to buy big bows, pink clothes and anything and everything I find w/a rhinestone crown b/c she is truly my princess. I love you Presley Layne!
~My dear mother-in-law. She is the most kind-hearted, soft spoken lady I've ever met. I have no idea how she ever raised Tony on her own w/a soft voice....must be a mothers touch b/c I have to speak loudly to get him to listen. Oh wait, he uses selective listening with me. The boys love their Maw-maw and I'm so thankful she's close enough that they are able to spend precious time w/her. She's so good to them that I'm afraid they might want to go live w/her one day. Hopefully, we can make her a garage apartment so she can live w/all of us. We sure love home cooked meals and everyone knows they won't be coming from this mommy. I love you Loretta!
~My wonderful friends and extended family. Although we don't get to see each other on a daily basis, you still bring so much joy to my life. I enjoy our conversations and I look forward to the times when we are able to see one another. Girls night, Pakeeno and Bunco are highlights in my month b/c I get to take off my mommy hat and have a good time. Thank you girls, I love each of you!
~My job...if that's what you even call it. I never wake up dreading work b/c I get to spend the day w/some of my best friends. We experience the good, the bad and the ugly of high school students but we have the best time doing it. I'll never make millions but I do get the opportunity to impact the lives of children and I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing than that. I'm not going to lie...it is nice to get paid for the year but only work 187 days, have summers off and long holiday breaks. But can you imagine how unpleasant I would be if I had to be around teenagers all day, every day?!?! The field of education would really experience a burn-out. I love my school and the students and staff I get to interact w/on a daily basis!
~The freedom we have in America, the good health of my family and the safety and protection God provides for us on a daily basis. Our country just experienced a historical election and I can't wait to see what's in store for the next 4 years. I hope change really is on the horizon and that people will no longer see race as a dividing factor; but, see that God created us all equally and it's up to each individual as to how we chose to live. As crazy as it sounds now, I'm so thankful for the health scare we had this past year w/my ankle. My faith was tested, I learned a lot about myself, and saw first hand that God is and always will be the hero. He does allow undesirable things to happen b/c it helps us to appreciate what we have instead of what we don't have. This Thanksgiving, I really am thankful that I have 2 working feet and no signs of bone cancer b/c at one time the words malignant cyst rang in our ears. Thank you Lord for the power of healing...I love you!
Last but not least, I am thankful that I have so much to be thankful for. We are so undeserving; yet, God continues to bless us beyond belief. Happy Thanksgiving...enjoy your many blessings!
