The Lindeman family is "officially" ready for Christmas. The outside lights were up mid-November, wreath ( I made all by myself) on the door soon after that,
tree was decorated the week-end before Thanksgiving, the rest of the decorations are finally out and the wait for Santa begins! Oh, and I almost forgot...my blog has a new holiday design and doesn't it look festive & FABULOUS? Kelly is incredible so if you're needing a blog make-over, check out her website! The link is on my sidebar.
The boys started their Advent calendars and Kase looks forward to opening his everyday b/c he LOVES to eat the chocolate...a man after my own heart! Oh wait, he already has that. Keller enjoys opening the box but could care less about the candy. It usually gets passed on to me...and I'm not telling you what I do with it but I'm sure you can figure it out. We are definitely enjoying the holiday season but this year I'm really trying to focus on the true meaning of it all. Kase is at such a teachable age so I'm taking advantage of each moment I have with him. He loves to learn and we have such a great time talking about the birth of Jesus, his nativity scene, and "really" listening to the lyrics of Christmas songs and talking about what they mean. With Keller, our conversations are a little simpler and much shorter. We just talk about things that have to do w/Christmas and he usually responds with the same answer everytime..."hut-hut, b-balls, monster trucks, cupcakes, screwdrivers". I do occasionally get the words "baby Jesus, Santa or Christmas tree but for the most part, he's just not quite ready for a deep conversation but then again, what 3 year old is?!?! No matter where the conversation takes us, everything they say makes me smile and fills my heart w/joy and that is the best gift I could ever ask for!
