Bad Weather Day

Only in Texas, is it 80 degrees one day and 5 days later, 27 degrees and sleeting. That must be why everyone in my house has a case of the sniffles. Except me and I already had a turn a couple weeks ago so I should be good for a little while longer! I was a little upset when I turned on the news at 5:30 this morning and saw that school was canceled. I'm all about a day off but that's what my personal and sick days are for. It's no fun when you have a day off but have to make it up later...who wants to do that? I didn't...until today. From now on, if all bad weather days can be like today, bring em' on. We had such a fun day and it was even more special b/c daddy took a bad weather day too. He never takes off so it was quite a treat! At least for us but I'm afraid he might re-think it next time b/c I took advantage of my extra energy and having him at home to tackle some projects. However, the favorite part of our day was Keller coming to us as we were moving furniture to let us know he needed to go potty. What? Are you serious? Wait a minute, is this our stubborn 3 year old telling us he's finally ready to sit on the potty? We, including Kase, all run to the bathroom so we can see it w/our own eyes. He gracefully sits down and w/in a couple of minutes, our potty was full of tee-tee! We started screaming w/excitement, telling him what a big boy he was and how proud we were of him; all while he's staring at us like we're crazy. I asked if he wanted to put on a pull up and he said, "no mommy, I need big boy una-wear"! You got it big boy, one pair of Thomas underwear coming right up. He proudly put those on and walked around w/the biggest grin on his face....and as I'm sure you know, our grins were even bigger! He made it through the day w/out an accident so hopefully, we're almost done w/diapers. Wish us luck!

I know the scooter doesn't have a thing to do w/potty training but this is the first time he's had an outfit on w/out a diaper so I had to include a picture of him w/out a saggy bo-bo!

Can't leave big brother out so here's how he spent the first part of his day...baking muffins for mommy and daddy. What a sweet little boy!

Thank you sweet boys {all 3 of you} for making mommy's day so special!
