I've been a really bad blog girl this past week but believe me, I've already been scolded for it by a friend who checks up on us daily so go easy on me! I'll do a better job this week...scouts honor! The delay in posting is definitely not b/c we didn't have anything going on; it was just the total opposite. Does anyone know where I can find an 8 day week? Seven days just isn't enough! Rather than go into great detail about our week {and bore some of you to tears}, I decided to give you a review of our week in pictures. Yes, I said pictures. My wonderful friend {and teacher} loaned me one of our school business department cameras until mine gets repaired {very unlikely since the warranty people are already giving me a run around} or I get a new one. I was able to convince Tony {not hard to do} thatI needed to upgrade to an SLR but now I can't quite talk myself into letting go of so much money on a camera. I know it's worth it but my gosh, it's more than a car payment! Oh well, on to pictures w/a detail or two, maybe 3 or 4 about each picture!
Monday we took a little trip to Firewheel so Kase could stuff his new build-a-bear, Patches.

He bought it w/the money Grammer gave him for his perfect report card and when I say perfect, I mean PERFECT. He had E's in every subject area and student responsibilities and 3's {indicates mastery} on all the skill test objectives. Teacher comment said, "Kase is a joy to have in class. I am so glad I get to be his teacher." Well...we are so glad Mrs. R is his teacher b/c she is absolutely AMAZING. I'm going to be so sad when we say good-bye to her at the end of the year. Kindergarten teachers are just precious and Kase loves her to pieces. Sugar-bug, mommy and daddy are so proud of you!
A trip to Firewheel must also include playing on the playground and walking along the creek.

Somehow, we did manage to make it out of there w/out stopping for a cookie at Nestle. Now, that's a first! I guess you could say I used our cookie money {and a little bit more} on my WONDERFUL new kitchen towels and hot pad.

I may not spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking but it certainly looks nice when I'm passing through!
Last week, while watching American Idol, the boys provided us w/a concert. This week it was a game of Nerf football on Keller's new rug. He got it for Christmas but didn't realize it actually came w/a "hut hut" and pretend goal posts. It's a big hit now...at least for daddy and Keller. Kase would rather pose for pictures.

Keller discovered glitter glue and later decided to decorate EVERYTHING!!
Right about the time my voice was starting to rise, Kase said, "mommy, any time you do art work, you're going to get messy. That's what my art teacher told me." Awwww, leave it to sweet little Kase to read my facial expression and realize mommy was upset and little brother was about to get it. Keller, big brother saved you so you owe him one!
I knew we'd have a concert sooner or later.

Can't go a week at our house w/out a little rock and roll. This week it was courtesy of Keller, strumming along to the mini-van music.

It actuallly bounces up and down and plays Vacation Getaway by the Bangles. My mom bought it for Presley but my sweet sister {insert sarcasm} got sick of hearing it so she gave it to Keller. He LOVES that thing and anytime we have company, that's the first thing he drags out. I'm so sick of hearing the song but I'll never get tired of watching him play his guitar, pout out the mouth and bounce around in circles while the music plays.
Sunday afternoon, Papa called and invited the boys over for some block construction.

Grammer is out of town so I think Papa was a little lonely and needed some company. Leave it to his grandsons to entertain and provide a little laughter. Keller spent a large part of his visit in the window sill...waiting for a tractor to drive by and showing Teddy what it looks like outside.

The three of them had a great time together and I enjoyed watching them play. The boys adore their Papa and so do I...he is truly one of a kind!
