Happy Birthday Kase

Lots of birthday excitement going on around our house lately and today was no exception. Our sweet little Kase turned 6 years old today. After I dropped him off at school and cried the whole way to work, I spent a large part of the day trying to figure out where the past 6 years has gone. It seems like just yesterday that we were loading up our car to make a 6:30 appt. at Baylor hospital. We left not knowing what the day would be like but full of excitement, anticipation and yes, a little bit of nervousness. The day couldn't have been more beautiful and perfect b/c at 7:37 that night, we were proudly holding our precious newborn son. God made his presence known to us as we experienced childbirth for the very first time. It was at that very moment that Tony and I discovered what true love was really all about. Our dream of becoming parents was suddenly a reality and we were overcome w/joy. The past 6 years have been absolutely amazing and I can't wait to see what God has in store for the next 6 years.

Kase's sweet little teacher made sure his birthday was extra special. She gave him a birthday certificate and a Cold Stone giftcard. He was very excited about those things but I think his favorite thing was the book given to him by his class. The title is "The Birthday Book" and each student was given a color sheet and at the top, it said, "If I could go to the store and buy you a present, I would get you a __________ ". They had to fill in the blank, draw a picture and sign their name at the bottom.

Kase is so proud of it and asked me all night, "mommy, what if James really does get me a snake or what if Trevor really gets me a dinosaur?" I think that will be fine Kase. If they can find a dinosaur, you can have it! After reading the birthday book 6 times, we had pizza and cake w/the family. {The actual birthday party isn't until the end of February.} Papa had strep throat so he drove by to say Happy Birthday.

Kase ran out to say hi and got a little surprise....another Webkinz! The pizza was good, the cake was yummy but nothing beats getting two webkinz!!!

To our precious first born son, Happy Birthday; may your birthday wish come true. Thank you for putting a smile on our face each and every day; you are the light of our lives. We love you to the moon and back...and then some!

Ok- very sweet!!! I wish my kiddo's were awake so I could give them a BIG kiss!! But I just have to go jump in my bed to see my sweet little Jake, since he still "has" to lay with us. :) I know it won't last to much longer.. Will it? haha
On a side note... Jared has that exact same Webkins. LOL!! He LOVES it. It is the purple dragon.. What did Kase name him? I think Jared's is Dragonball or something funny like that.
