I have ISSUES!

I know that doesn't come as a surprise to many of you {or to myself} but tonight really sealed the deal for me. I just sat through the Bachelor rose ceremony and cried BIG tears for that sweet mommy that got sent home. I haven't watched much of the show so I don't really know a whole lot about any of the girls but I do remember her. She was the one that brought tears to my eyes when her daughter surprised her on the beach....so sweet! My heart breaks for her b/c of all she's endured and I truly think she thought he was the one. She handled it so well and I think she's the first one I've ever seen get sent home and not have an absolute meltdown in the car. Tony and I think she might end up being the next bachelorette. I certainly hope! Now that I'm off my soapbox, I'll move on to bigger and better things...our little scientist!

Kase came home last week w/a bag and inside, it had a notebook, 3 science experiment books, lab coat and a pair of goggles. He was chosen to be the Scientist of the week and our job was to come up w/a science project for him to present to the class. Ugh...I hate science and just seeing the word hypothesis made my stomach hurt. We thumbed through the books and found one called Rock On. Kase chose that one b/c of the title and I'm so glad he did b/c it was a beginner experiment and one that mommy understood. Basically, we had to drop lemon juice on different rocks to see which ones had carbonate in them. If they fizzed or bubbled, the rock contained limestone. Don't I sound intellectual? Want to know more...chalk contains limestone...bet you didn't know that! We had to write about our experience and let me tell you, Kase is quite the little writer. His spelling is wonderful and he prints extremely well. In fact, I can read his writing a lot better than I can some of my high school students. Isn't that a shame?

I learned that science experiments are a whole lot more fun when you're sharing them w/your 6 year old. I can't wait to hear how his classroom presentation goes tomorrow. He's already made sure his brown corduroy pants are going to be clean so he can wear those w/his lab coat. Have to look good for all the cute girls!
On a side note...Keller is now going poo-poo on the potty so I think we're almost potty trained. I couldn't be more excited to bid farewell to diaper days!
