Lordy Lordy, look who's Forty!

No, not me; I still have a few (7) years left before I turn the big 4-0. Today we celebrated Tony's 40th birthday. I had a special weekend planned for us; however, Keller came down w/the stomach bug so we spent Saturday nursing him back to good health...

and feeding him lots of popsicles!

Fortunately, it was a short lived virus b/c he was back to 100% by 3:30 that afternoon. Our hotel reservations, spa treatments and dinner reservations were already canceled so we decided to head out for dinner and make a couple more stops in an attempt to find a new couch. It must've been the luck of the birthday boy b/c we finally found one. I know Tony is glad that "beating" {as he called it} is over, as we've spent the last 3 weekends searching every furniture store in town. Not that we're picky, we just didn't want to spend half our monthly salary on a couch. Gosh, those things are expensive or maybe I just have expensive taste. I've been told that a time or two but I don't think they know what they're talking about! Needless to say, we had a nice evening and enjoyed spending alone time w/Keller. He doesn't get that very often and I know he loved having every ounce of our attention!

The boys and I decorated the house this morning and served Tony breakfast in bed. No, I didn't cook anything fancy, just donuts and kolaches. Tonight, we had the family over for dinner and birthday cake. The boys couldn't wait to sing happy birthday to their daddy. He got some help blowing out his one candle and some sweet birthday kisses!

Happy Birthday Tony {daddy}, we love you from the bottom of our hearts! God has truly blessed our lives w/an amazing husband and father. How lucky I am to be married to the most wonderful man in the world and to share the joys of parenting w/such an incredible father. We are so grateful for all you do for our family and can't wait to spend the next 40 years together!
