Saturday afternoon, the boys and I ventured over to Firewheel to see the Easter Bunny and have a little cookie treat at our favorite cookie spot, Nestle. As we drove up, the Easter Bunny was standing outside waving at all the shoppers. Kase was so excited to see him that he started unbuckling his seatbelt before I even had a chance to park the car. Keller, on the other hand, wanted to go back home b/c his "tummy hurt". That's his way of letting us know he doesn't want to do something or he's scared to death of whatever it is you're wanting him to do. We got out of the car {some faster than others}; Keller clung to my leg while Kase ran across the street {w/out looking} as fast as his little legs would carry him. Fortunately, we were the only ones in line for pictures so we had some extra time to get to know the Bunny. It wasn't enough to ease Keller's mind but we left w/a picture and that was the purpose of our trip...mission accomplished. Of course, I took a few {several} of my own along the way!
As we were leaving Firewheel, we passed a circus tent. I tried to drive by really fast but the boys spotted it and the rest was history. Listening to the excitement and seeing their expressions, I knew there was no way I could get around taking them. I called Tony, he met us for dinner and then it was time for the Carson and Barnes circus. Kase decided "circus on wheels" was a much better name and I tend to agree w/him on that. We sat on bleachers that folded up and traveled in an 18 wheeler. Yes, friends, I was dying inside b/c it was cramped but even worse, it was the filthiest thing I've come across in quite some time. It was one of those moments that I had to laugh or I was going to cry. After people watching for a few minutes, I realized that Tony was right; it was a Spanish circus and thinking about us being there was enough to make me laugh. Thank goodness tickets were cheap b/c the highlight of the night was the pony rides and petting zoo.

Kase enjoyed the dog show.
