Fathers Day 2009...just a little bit late.

Due to the fact that we were going to be in San Antonio on Fathers day, we decided to celebrate w/Papa {my dad} a day early. Kase was so anxious to give him his photo book so there was no way he was going to wait another day to show it to him. It was his idea to make the book but somehow mommy ended up doing most of the work. He did help pick out a few pictures and told me where to put them but after that, he was done. and ready to go outside to play. That's much more fun for a 6 year old than sitting at the computer while mommy tries to come up w/creative captions to go along w/the picture. Nevertheless, Kase was very proud of the finished product and has already asked if I would make one of our Sea World trip. I think Papa {my dad} thought it was pretty special too and it's something he{we}can look back on for years to come. The boys will change as they grow older but those memories will forever be cherished in his little book, Papa & Pals.

To my sweet dad- Happy Father's day; I hope your day was special. I'm glad you enjoyed your book and I am so grateful for each precious moment the boys get to spend with you. They adore you and will one day realize the magnitude of the gift God gave them when he made you their Papa. You are an amazing man and I thank God daily for blessing me w/such a perfect earthly father. I love you more than you'll ever know!

After giving Papa his gift early, the boys decided they might as well go ahead give daddy his early. Of course, who am I to tell them no? Several weeks ago, Kase picked out a special little book and he and Keller spent several hours {over the course of several days} coloring, decorating, putting pictures in it and recording their own personal message. They gave it to Tony and he couldn't even finish opening the rest of his gift b/c he was so choked up by the book and the homemade card made by Kase. Sweet Keller saw a tear and asked daddy, "what is that?" It was such a tender moment and so symbolic of the relationship Tony has with the boys.

To our favorite superhero- We love you, cherish you and honor you for being such an incredible man, father, husband and provider for our family. Thank you for being you and loving us!
