A couple of weeks ago, Kase brought home his 1st spelling words list and attached was a sheet w/different study techniques. The majority of the words were ones he learned last year but he was still very excited about preparing for his first spelling test. We practiced with magnetic letters on the refrigerator, played a few games on the computer program and typed them out in a word document but the all time favorite was the shaving cream. He and Keller sat at the table for an entire hour drawing with spoons, spatulas and their good ol' fingers.
Keller drew pictures while Kase worked on his spelling words.
The study session ended with the two of them painting their bodies.
All of the practice paid off b/c Kase made a 100 on his first graded spelling test and even got two stars for getting the bonus words right. Way to go buddy, we are so proud of you!
